Melissa M. “Missi” O’Leary, 44, died Thursday, December 12, 2013 at Box Butte General Hospital.
She was born January 9, 1969 in Laramie, Wyoming to William J. and Carolyn L. (Winship) Hall.
She married Steven O’Leary on March 10, 1989 in Alliance, Nebraska.
Missi had a special gift that was uplifting to all that she came in contact with. All that knew her loved her. Missi was an avid writer, talented painter, and lived life to the fullest. She had a passion for travel and accompanied her husband of 24 years, Steve, on many adventures. She had an amazing ability to care for animals for which she had five cats and a dog. She loved to be physically fit and inspired others to do their best. Missi had many gifts and talents that she used to help others unceasingly. We have truly lost an amazing person, but heaven has gained an angel.
She is survived by her husband, Steven O’Leary of Alliance; brothers, Will (Samantha) Hall of Alliance, and Robert Hall and his special friend, Deneil Olson Scheetz of Rapid City, South Dakota. She is also survived by her grandmother, Ellen Hall of Pullman, West Virginia; her mother-in-law, Carol O’Leary of Alliance; brother-in-laws, James (Theresa) O’Leary and Mark O’Leary, all of Alliance; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
A celebration of life will be held Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the United Methodist Church. Pastor Tom Lucas will officiate. Burial will be in the Alliance Cemetery.
