John Duran, 61, passed away Friday, February 5, 2016 at Good Samaritan Health Care Center.
He was born June 10, 1954 in San Luis Potosi, Mexico. He grew up in Alliance and graduated from Alliance High School in 1974. John lived in Coco Beach, FL from 1976 to 1981, Banning, CA 1981-1993, Palm Springs, CA 1993 to 1995 and then Phoenix, AZ until 196 when he returned to Alliance. He worked in various trades including being a carpet installer, handyman and working at Bernie’s Hardware store.
He is survived by his mother, Helen Patino of Alliance, his sisters and brothers, Oralia McKee of Highland, CA, Eustolio Duran of Phoenix, AZ, Manuel Duran of Banning, CA, Carlos Patino of Tucson, AZ, Froilan Patino of San Francisco, CA, Efrain Patino of Denver, CO, Roselia Blakeman Patino of Alliance, his uncle and aunts, Mike and Adel Duran of Alliance and Cece Gonzalez of Alliance as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Memorial services will be Thursday, February 11 at 2:00 p.m. at the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Alliance with Pastor Ron Nichol officiating.
