Betty B.Vogel, 86, passed away Friday, February 5, 2016 at Box Butte General Hospital.
She was born February 12, 1929 in rural Alliance, Nebraska to John T. and Alta J. (Hulshizer) Lawrence.
She married Arthur Suiter on August 9, 1947 and 4 daughters were born to this union. On March 24, 1990 she was married to Herb Vogel.
She is survived by her daughters, Barb Suiter of Alliance, Betty (Myron) Drumheller of Papillion, NE, Janice (Steve) Maddox of Alliance, her 8 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren, her brothers and sisters, Dale (Joyce) Lawrence of Alliance, Geraldine (Lee) Lampland of Stillwater, MN, Archie (Janice) Lawrence of Alliance and Merlin Lawrence of Omaha. She is also survived by her step-children, Darrel Vogel of Alliance, Dave (Marva) Vogel of Pierre, SD and Vicke Vogel of Rapid City, SD, 7 step-grandchildren and 2 step-great grandchildren, her brother-in-law, Bill Vogel of Alliance and sister-in-law, Elsie (Ray)Brandt of Arizona.
Her parents, her daughter Patricia Koetter, her husband Herb, and her brothers, Harold, Marvin and Allen preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be Thursday, February 11 at 10:00 a.m. at St. John’s United Lutheran Church with Pastor Tim Stadem officiating. Burial will be in the Alliance Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 1-7 p.m. at the Bates-Gould Funeral Home.
Memorials may be given to St. John’s Pre-School or Prairie Haven Hospice.
