Edith Marie Keller, 91, died Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at Good Samaritan Health Care Center in Alliance.
She was born March 5, 1923 in Morrill County, NE to Edwin and Ida Mae (Hinman) Neff.
On November 1, 1942 she was united in marriage to Lloyd L. Keller. She accompanied her husband at his various state side military assignment prior to his serving overseas during WWII. Following his discharge they returned to the area. In 1950 they moved to a ranch in Garden County near Crescent Lake and operated their ranch until 1977 when they moved to Alliance. She then worked at Woolrich for several years. Edith was an active member of the United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women.
She is survived by her sons, Richard (Judy) of Loudon, TN and Arnold (Jeannette) of Alliance, her grandchildren, Trudy (Chris) Witson of Knoxville, TN, Tiffany (Jeff) Adkins of Middleburg, FL, Teresa (Matt) Keller-Holmes of Connors, GA and Patrick (Stephanie) Keller of Westminster, CO and numerous great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Esther Czeisel of Copenhagen, NY and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her grandson, Jeffery Keller and her sisters, Margaret Yeager, Rose Neff and Opal Keller, and her brother, Donald Neff.
Funeral services will be Friday, August 29 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at the United Methodist Church with Jeanie Sedivy officiating. Burial will be in the Alliance Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Bates-Gould Funeral Home.
Memorials may be given to the United Methodist Church or Good Samaritan Health Care Center.
