George G. White, 61, died Sunday, April 6, 2014 at Highland Park Care Center. He was born May 27, 1952 at West Plains, Missouri to Frank and Georgia (Nunnally) White. On January 2, 2003 he married Kathleen “Katie” Lewis in Needles, CA. George was an Engineer for the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway where he had worked for the past 18 years. He was a member of the Alliance Church of Christ and the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and Trainmen.
He is survived by his wife, Kathleen “Katie” White of Alliance; his sons, Ryan (Catherine) White of Jefferson City, MO, and Kyle White of Columbia, MO; his step-daughters, Kasey (Mat) DuChaine of Albuquerque, NM, Jamie (Robbie) Kurzon of Las Vegas, NV, and Lindsey (Alex) Arthen of Cathedral City, CA; grandchildren, Madison White, Sophia White, Caroline White, Kailynn DuChaine, Shifton DuChaine, and Landon Arthen. He is also survived by his brothers, Fred (Barbara) White of Jonesboro, AR, Paul (Debra) White of Burkburnett, TX, Mark (Sharon Van Cleave) White of Osage Beach, MO and Tony (Theresa) White of West Plains, MO; his sisters, Audrey (Dick) Dingmon of Burkburnett, TX, Kitty Vaughn of West Plains, MO, Frankie (Chuck) Hogancamp of Edmond, OK, and Mini White of Brandsville, MO; and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 sister.
Memorial services will be held Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at 4:00 p.m. at the Bates-Gould Chapel with Allen Bright officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Alliance Church of Christ or Prairie Haven Hospice.
