Thomas Michael Sherry, 58, of Scottsbluff passed away Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2013.
He was born Dec. 12, 1955 in Burlingame, KS to Helen Louise (Carlat) and Tom W. Sherry.
He was a great cook, avid reader, and motorcycle enthusiast. Nothing made him happier than making a special dish or his famous chocolate ganache cake for a birthday. He loved to make people smile and was a problem solver. He was very proud of his grandsons and would show them off whenever he had the chance.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Carolyn Crow.
He is survived by his ex-wife, Laurie Zitterkopf; daughter, Alisha Closson; son-in-law, Jeremiah Closson; grandsons, Caden and Jack Closson; sisters, Norma Jean Lutz of OK, and Kathy (Gary) Wilcoxson of FL.
A memorial gathering will be held at 6 pm Jan. 3,c2014 at Dugan-Kramer in Scottsbluff, and his ashes will later be interred in Burlingame Cemetery with his parents.
His daughter, Alisha Closson, has set up a memorial fund at Valley Bank & Trust to help with final expenses. Any remaining funds will be donated to the Scottsbluff Leid Public Library. Tributes of sympathy may be left at www.dugankramer.com
