Edna Mae Krantz (Edie) 89 passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loved ones Tuesday, December 6, 2016.  Edie was born and raised in Alliance and went to Alliance High School.  She met her husband Jim during WWII when he was stationed at the Alliance Army Air Field.  They were married soon after they met and her new husband set off for Guam.  This marriage lasted for 68 years before the love of her life was called to heaven before her.

Edie is survived by four children, Chuck Krantz of Alliance, Teri (Tim) O’Hearn of Tacoma, WA, Bobbi (Cliff) Robinson of Torrington, WYO, and Jan (Ernie) Carlson, Alliance.  She is survived by 14 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.  They always knew there were cookies and love at her house, and it was one of their favorite places.

She was preceded in death by her husband, one grandson, one son in law and a daughter in law.

She was a lover of music and played several instruments, and could learn any song by ear.  Her passion was the piano and organ, and for a time she played at a few places around Alliance.

She will hold a warm spot in the hearts of her family and the people who knew her.  She is going to be missed by all.

Her Liturgy of the Word will be held on Saturday, December 10th at 10:30 am at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Alliance with Father Lou Nolette officiating and Father Roy assisting.  Inurnment will be at Calgary Cemetery in Alliance.

There will be a memorial established to PAWS, P.O. Box 117, Alliance, NE 69301 attention DeDe.  Tributes of sympathy may be left at www.dugankramer.com. Dugan Kramer Funeral Chapel  is in charge of arrangements.
