She is survived by her children, Linda Mulhern (the late Jim Mulhern) of Alliance, Luis (Rhonda) Vallejo of Kansas City, MO and Julie (Kevin) Wilson of Alliance, 13 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.  She is also survived by her siblings, Frances (Andrew) Gonzales of Carrollton, TX, Manuel “Chico” (Priscilla) Perez of Lakewood, CO, Joan Moreno of Omaha, NE, Ernie (Shirley) Perez of McCook, NE, Richard (Dawn) Perez of Westminster, CO, Barbara Meisheid and Mary (Keith) Orr of Phoenix, AZ, Ruth (Bill) Campbell of Alliance and numerous nieces and nephews.

Helen worked for many years at St. Joseph’s Hospital in the dietary department, at Alliance Cleaners,  as a concrete worker with her husband and as a bartender.  She was a drummer in her husband’s band.  Helen was probably one of a few women, if not the only woman drummer around at the time.  She continued to drum off and on.  Not long ago, she would sit in with her sister, Ruthie Campbell, and her band mates.  She never lost her touch for drumming.  She was a member of a bowling league.
