William A. “Bill” Gehrt, 50, died Friday, November 27, 2015 at Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff.
He was born February 17, 1965 in Gordon, Nebraska to Albert and Wilma (Queen) Gehrt.
Following high school Bill served in the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1987. He later went on to work for Dayco/Parker for over 20 years. One of Bill’s favorite pastimes was fishing.
He is survived by his sons, Ryan (Cheriee Kershaw) Gehrt of Gillette, Wyoming and Jeff Gehrt of Gordon; his granddaughter, Zaylee Gehrt of Gillette, Wyoming; his sisters, Deb (Gary) Tiensvold and Linda (Bob) Miller both of Alliance; and his brother, Nick (Sherry) Gehrt of Lexington, Nebraska.
Memorial services will be held Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at the Calvary Assembly of God Church. Pastor Steve Hahn will officiate. Burial with military rites will be in the Nebraska Veterans Cemetery at Alliance.
