Memorial services for Myrtle Irene Krueger, 96, of Newcastle, Wyoming, formerly of Hay Springs will be held on April 6, 2013 at 10:00 AM at the United Methodist Church in Hay Springs with Reverend Al Trucano officiating. Burial will be at the Hay Springs Cemetery.
Myrtle passed away on March 27, 2013 in Newcastle, Wyoming. She was born on June 9, 1916 to Carl and Jennie (Schmidt) Schildhauer in Hay Springs Nebraska and was raised there by her parents. She married Otto Carl Krueger on January 4, 1939. To this union two daughters were born, Marion and Jeanette. She spent her life as a loving mother and housewife. She enjoyed gardening, card parties, walking with friends and making polyester quilts for her family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Otto; sister Pearl Jacobsen (2011) and grandson Steven Shereck.
She is survived by her daughters, Marion Grant (Charles Szakaes) of Rapid City, South Dakota and Jeanette (Frank) Shereck of Bagley, Minnesota; four grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and one great-great granddaughter.
