Jack L. Taylor, 73

Jack L. Taylor, 73, passed away November 10, 2015 at Ogallala Community Hospital in Ogallala, NE.

 

Jack was born November 13, 1941 to Roy and Mildred Taylor in Mitchell, NE.

 

He married Judy Bolek on June 1, 1963 in Alliance, NE.

 

Jack was not a church going man but truly loved the Lord through nature and all of his creatures.  Jack lived most of his life in the country so he loved the smell of fresh grass hay, listening to the coyotes and the beautiful sunrises and sunsets.  He loved the open sky, working with cattle, riding his horses and the overnight cattle drives.  He also enjoyed watching his grandsons doing sports.  His little granddaughter, Rylee, was “My pretty precious little girl” and the apple of his eye.

 

He fought a courageous battle with I.P.F. the last several years.

 

He is survived by his wife, Judy, his children, Stesha Burri of Ogallala, Chris Taylor of New Mexico and Stella Coldiron of Kentucky, his grandchildren, Tyler and Kade Robertson and Rylee Burri of Ogallala, Celia, Phoenicia, Tamara and Jacob Coldiron of Kentucky.  He is also survived by his brothers, Richard (Ila)Taylor of Alliance, Merle (Marga) Taylor of Germany, Dennis Taylor of Alliance, Gary Taylor of Amarillo, TX, Aaron Taylor of Auburn, WA, his sisters, Bonnie Thayer of Fremont, NE, Ima Jean (Bob) Mischnick, Frances Synoground, Dorothy Lunbery, Sheryl Taylor and Kathy (Eugene) Hansen of Alliance and numerous nieces and nephews.

 

Funeral services will be Monday, November 16 at 2:00 p.m. at the Bates-Gould Chapel with Reverend Dennis Gruber officiating.  Burial will be in the Alliance Cemetery.  Visitation will be Monday after 9:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

 

Memorials may be given the Ogallala Rescue Unit or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
