Delmar Leroy Harden, 73, died August 7, 2014 at the Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland, CO.
He was born on September 20, 1940 in American Falls, ID to Joseph and Doris (Davies) Harden.
On October 25, 1960 he was united in marriage to Patricia Tschacher in Sterling, CO. They lived in Sterling, CO and Box Butte County, NE. He worked for the Burlington Northern Railroad from 1976 to 1986. He then was an independent truck driver for many years. Most recently he moved to Bridgeport, NE where he has been living for the past several years.
Delmar enjoyed several hobbies that included Nascar, car shows, fishing, and Bingo. He was a member of the Flatlander Car Club in Sterling and the Eagles Club.
He is survived by his son, Michael Harden of Bridgeport; three daughters, Michelle (Melvin) Kleist of North Platte, Melisa (Bradley) Brass of Alliance and Marsha (Brian) Engel of Cozad, and his grandchildren, Michael, Jr., Miranda and Marcus Harden of Bridgeport, Matthew and Kimberly Linker of Germany, Marissa Kleist of North Platte, Braxton of Alliance, Britny of Augusta, GA, and Brock Brass of Alliance, and Natalie, Jacob and Nathan Engel of Cozad, NE, and his great-grandchildren, Madalynn Linker of Colorado Springs, CO and Emily Harewood of Germany. He is also survived by his sister, Twyla Rosenfield of Estes Park, CO.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia; an infant son, Leonard Leroy; his sisters, Norma Baker and Martha Wolfe; and his brother, Clinton.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 16th, at St. Bridget’s Catholic Church in Hemingford. Father Lou Nollette will officiate. Inurnment will be at the Hemingford Cemetery. In Delmar’s honor, please feel free to drive your vintage car. There will be a celebration of life fellowship and meal after the service.
