Lillian F. Fester, 84, died Sunday, June 15, 2014 at Northern Colorado Medical Center in Greeley, Colorado.
She was born August 9, 1929 in Custer, SD to Stanley and Florence (Burgin) Blyth. She was the youngest of 3 children born to British immigrants who came to the United States in hopes of a better life.
Lillian received her education from the Alliance Public School graduating in 1947.
In March 1951 she married the love of her life, Glen Fester. Lillian spent most of her life helping her family. On top of raising their family, she and Glen completed many projects together.
She is survived by her daughter, Betty Basden of Bakersfield, CA, her sons, Roy, Jerry, Dennis, all of Alliance, Jack (Ellen) of Hemingford, Edward, Ronald, Timothy and Kenneth all also from Alliance. She is also survived by her 13 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and her sister-in-law, Hazel Dunagan of Little Rock, AR.
She was preceded in death by her husband and one grandchild.
Graveside services will be Friday, June 20 at 2:00 p.m. at the Alliance Cemetery. Father Coke McClure will officiate with burial in the Alliance Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 1-7 p.m. at the Bates-Gould Funeral Home.
