Betty Stubby, 77, of Scottsbluff, passed away, Sunday, June 1, 2014, at Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff.

Her memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, June 6, 2014, at Faith Lutheran Church in Gering with Pastor Richard Neugebauer officiating.  Inurnment will follow in the West Lawn Cemetery in Gering.

Friends may visit from 1:00 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 4, 2014, at Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel in Scottsbluff.  Cremation will follow the visitation.  Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.  Tributes of sympathy may be left at www.dugankramer.com

Betty was born to the late Victor and Lydia (Keller) Wiedeman on December 21, 1936, at Scottsbluff, Nebraska.  She received her education at Scottsbluff High School and graduated in 1954.  She married Don Stubby on May 11, 1955.  They moved to Carlsbad, California for a year and a half while Don served in the United States Marine Corps.  They moved back to Scottsbluff and lived on Avenue E until 1978.  They then moved to Townsend Drive.

Betty was a stay at home mom until 1981, when she started to work for the Scottsbluff Foot Clinic for 15 years.  She opened S &K Kraft Senter and worked there for seven years.  She was also employed at the Super 8 for six years as a maid and laundry person.  She then worked part time for Edward Jones.

She loved spending time with family and friends, cooking, crocheting, embroidering, and her craft shows.  She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her daughters, Debe (Mark) Miller and June (Ken) Keller; sons, Glen (Debbie) Stubby and Tom (Julie) Stubby; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brother, Ron (Sandra) Wiedeman.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Don and her parents.
