Eldon O. Clark, 79, died Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at Highland Park Care Center in Alliance.
He was born June 23, 1934 at Marsland, Nebraska to Henry and Hazel (Ball) Clark. He grew up at Marsland and attended Hemingford High School. He was inducted into the U.S. Army on May 17, 1956 and was honorably discharged on February 27, 1958.
On November 15, 1958 he was united in marriage to Bonnie Burney. They made their home near Marsland ranching until they were able to buy their own place north of Alliance. Eldon lived his life doing what he loved, farming and ranching. When he retired from farming he continued to enjoy the good life on the farm. The thing he enjoyed the most was spending time with his family. The grandkids and great-grandkids were the highlight of every day. Eldon played a huge influence in their lives.
He is survived by his son, David (Teresa) Clark of Potter, NE and Marilyn (Ron) Reed of Hay Springs, NE, his grandchildren, Hayley Clark, Hollie Clark, Heidi Clark, Halsey Clark, Tyrel Clark, Witt Clark, Austin Reed and Trent Reed and his great-grandchildren, Aubrey Clark and Lucas Clark. He is also survived by his brother, Ronald (Neoma) Clark of Alliance and his sister, Lucille (Donald) Egly of Oelrichs, SD and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Bonnie his son, Bruce, and his brother, George.
Memorial services will be Friday, February 28 at 10:30 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Hemingford. Pastor Terri Lucas will officiate. Burial will be in the Hemingford Cemetery.
