Edward Lee Hessler, 64, of Scottsbluff, passed away, Friday, January 17th, 2014, at Golden Living Center in Scottsbluff after a long term illness.
His memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 21, 2014, at The Rock Church in Scottsbluff with Pastor Tyson Lambertson officiating. Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel in Scottsbluff is in charge of the arrangements.

Edward Lee Hessler was born December 19th, 1948, in Scottsbluff to Edward and Vera (Ott) Hessler. Eddie graduated from Scottsbluff High School in 1967. That same year, he entered the National Guard and was honored as soldier of the year and was later honorably discharged at the rank of SP4. He then worked at Barnet and Ramble Optical and with Dr. Slattery as an optician. Eddie then started Hessler Land and Cattle Company, Hessler Builders, Inc. and TLC with his brother Mick Hessler.
Eddie was a member of the Scottsbluff Elks Club and Scottsbluff Country Club.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Wendi Hessler of Severence, Colorado; daughter and son-in-law, Christina and Bryn Tejral of Lincoln; grandchildren, Courtney and Kaelyn Tejral and Jacob and Logan Hessler; father, Edward Hessler; sister and brother-in-law, Elizabeth “Liz” and Kevin Shoemaker; brother Michael “Mick” Hessler; brothers and sisters-in-law, David “Dave” and Pam Hessler and Robert “Bob” and Peggy Hessler.
He was preceded in death by mother, Vera Hessler.
