Larry Lynn Hatch, of Phoenix, AZ passed away on December 18th, 2018 at the age of 69. Anita Marie Hatch, of Phoenix, AZ passed away on January 7th, 2019 at the age of 71. Larry was born in Lexington NE on December 3rd, 1949 to Virgil and Ruth Hatch. After moving to Alliance, NE Larry graduated from Alliance High School. Anita was born in Alliance, NE on June 21st, 1947 to Joseph and Dorothy Shaughnessy. Anita graduated from St. Agnes Academy in Alliance, NE.
Larry and Anita were married in Alliance, NE on February 26th, 1983. Larry and Anita, both long-time residents of Alliance, NE, lived and worked in various capacities in the community. Larry most notably worked for various Hatch family businesses. Anita also worked for the Hatch family along with a career in banking with the former Alliance National Bank. Larry and Anita contributed to several projects within the Alliance community, most fondly remembering their involvement in the Alliance Softball Complex. Larry was involved with the Boys and Girls Club of Alliance running many events.
Larry and Anita moved to Phoenix, AZ in 1988. Larry worked for Radio Shack running retail stores in the Phoenix area. Larry and Anita later purchased Crime-Eye which Larry managed. Anita found her way back into banking in various banks throughout the Phoenix area. While in Arizona, Larry and Anita found a love for model trains and LEGOS. Both were members of the Arizona Garden Railway Society and enjoyed spending countless hours at the park with fellow members. Larry specialized in the trains, transforming their backyard into a train park, and Anita specialized in the food and entertainment hosting various events for children at the park throughout the years. Both were also avid LEGO builders and had great enjoyment building a large LEGO city in their house. Larry and Anita will always be lovingly remembered together.
Larry is survived by his parents, Virgil and Ruth Hatch, Brother Jerry Hatch (wife Hing-Wah), Sister Deb Thiems (husband Rick), Daughter Karri Guthmilller, Daughter Gina Rebillet, and Son Pat Garrett (wife Lisa). Anita is survived by her Brother Stephen Shaughnessy (wife Lisa), Daughter Gina Rebillet, Son Pat Garrett (wife Lisa), and Daughter Karri Guthmiller. Anita is predeceased by brothers Dale (wife Jan), and Lyle (wife Mary). Both are survived by seven Grandchildren and nine Great-Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Services for Larry and Anita Hatch will be held on May 4th, 2019 at the Alliance Methodist Church, 704 Box Butte Ave., Alliance, NE 69301 at 10 A.M. Reception to follow at Gallery 3, 316 Box Butte Ave. Alliance, NE 69301.
