Cheryl L. Loomis, 67, passed away Thursday, July 6, 2017 at her home in Alliance.
She was born July 9, 1949 in Alliance to Christopher and Peggy (Lucke) Mundt. On November 15, 1968 she was united in marriage to Myron Loomis.
Cheryl Loomis had a passion to strive for her family and to keep all family members together as a whole. She was her boys’ “rock”, always having a positive outlook on life. Cheryl’s imagination would make the cloudiest of days turn sunny. The stories and memories told by her will love on for generations to come, as well as her innocence that she kept throughout her life. And a special thank you to her best friend August Long.
Her hobbies entailed bragging about all her grand babies and their accomplishments and milestones and loving them with an unconditional love only a grandmother can do. She also loved crocheting, drawing, painting, and ceramics.
She is survived by her sons, Michael (Kelli) Loomis of Bridgeport, NE and Brian (Anna) Loomis of Alliance, her grandchildren, Copelun, Joseph, Kadynce, Jaidyn, Caylee, Traavyn, Chloe and Daylynn. She is also survived by her sisters and brothers, Patricia (Larry) Nicodemus of Gering, Sandra Loomis of Kearney, Dan (Linda) Mundt and Sam (Diane) Mundt of Alliance and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be Tuesday, July 11 at 10:00 a.m. at the Alliance Cemetery with Pastor Russell Saito officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 2-7 p.m. at the Bates-Gould Funeral Home.
